This August, a new group of apprentices started their professional journey at VAT in Switzerland and Malaysia.

In Switzerland, offering apprenticeships has been a tradition for more than 50 years. This year, eleven apprentices joined the Apprentice Training Center in Haag. They started their education in a range of technical professions, including polymechanics, production mechanics, design engineering and physics laboratory technology. These young talents will gain hands-on experience, work on real projects and develop the skills needed for a successful future in industry.

While apprenticeships are a well-established and widely recognized part of the Swiss education system, the concept is relatively niche in other countries. Nevertheless, VAT Malaysia also welcomed six new apprentices. VAT has its own apprentice training center in Malaysia and continues to participate in the German dual vocational training program in precision machining, helping young people combine classroom learning with practical industry experience.

For VAT, apprenticeship programs are an important investment in skills, knowledge, and long-term career opportunities. By providing practical training and mentoring, they help young professionals build a strong foundation while strengthening the expertise that drives innovation across the company.

VAT warmly welcomes all new apprentices to the #oneVAT family and looks forward to supporting them as they learn, grow and contribute to our future success.
