The Compare tool enables users to identify differences in configurable parameters. It supports the following comparison modes:

Diagnostic File vs. Diagnostic File:

oCompare two saved diagnostic files to identify configuration changes or discrepancies.

oAt least one of the Diagnostic Files needs to be created with a CPA version 4.3.0 or above to ensure configuration data is available.

Connected Device vs. Connected Device:

oEvaluate the settings of two connected controllers to ensure uniformity across devices.

Connected Device vs. Diagnostic File:

oCross-check a controller’s current configuration against a reference diagnostic file to verify compliance or detect modifications.

oThe diagnostic file can also be created with older versions, as configuration data is retrieved directly from the connected device.

 

How to use:

Source selection:

ouse the source drop-down menus to select the inputs for comparison.

to select a diagnostic file, it must first be loaded using the Load button.

Start comparison:

oclick the Compare button to initiate the analysis.

Output:

The tool generate a list of configurable parameters that differ between the selected sources, helping users to quickly identify and resolve configuration mismatches.

For parameters of the type <Array>, double-click the entry to view the differences at the individual index level.

Indicating a "--" in one of the sources indicates that this parameter is not existing (or inactive) within that source.
